My computer is constantly flashing across the screen, “Your storage is almost full.” The fact is, there is only so much room in your memory space for things. Your computer will eventually run out of room. But everything is like this. Your mind can only hold so much information. Your schedule can only allow for so many activities. This truth gets my wheels turning.
Are we filling our mind or time with the things that matter?
Are you filling your schedule with worldly stuff (stuff that is fine in moderation!) or are you still finding ways and times to insert the spiritual?
Are you saturating your mind with the sacred and Scriptural or are you muddying your mind with the mundane?
A good way to test this is to survey your time and your thoughts. If you can quote more football stats than you can Scripture that may be a good indication that you should reevaluate things. If you can’t seem to have time to take some food to a dear brother/sister who is going through a hard time, then you might need to do some reorganizing in your schedule.
There is only so much time in the world and there is only so much room in your head. You have to be intentional with how you fill it.
