With Only a Word

With only a word

the storm surely heard.

From the lips of the Lord,

Peace and serenity restored.

The fear and awe of that day,

The disciples terrified, they say.

Storms pose no threat,

The King of kings does not fret.

He speaks and wonders emerge,

A rolling unimaginable surge.

With the mighty sign, sound, and sight,

Jesus revealed a sliver of His might.

The Lord of glory cannot be stopped, nor slowed,

And that much He surely showed.

For no storm can hinder His word;

Of such splendor, we have heard.
